New York congressman Nicholas Stern (Paul Thomas) runs a clean campaign... or at least that's what he’d like his constituents to think. Hoping to win a seat in the Senate by promoting conservative, anti ‘smut’ values, Stern is in fact a ruthless hypocrite with an on-call pimp and a cold-hearted desire to win back his high school fling, Marybeth (Kelly Nichols). But when respected reporter Elvira Lawrence (Annette Haven) decides to investigate his crooked activities, Stern begins to fear that he might be revealed for who he really is.
A big-budget hardcore black comedy from writer/producer Joyce Synder (Pledge Night) and filmmaker Henri Pachard (Mascara), Public Affairs is a surprisingly prescient classic of 80s erotica.
