The Erotic Adventures of Zorro
1972, dir. Robert Freeman
“The first movie rated Z!”
The citizens of a peaceful Mexican village are besieged by the evil Luis Bonsario (Jude Farese) and his assistant Sgt. Felipio Latio (Bob Cresse), who take advantage of the local women while forcing the men to pay high taxes. Don Manuel (Mike Perratta) realizes that the only way to bring back peace back to the region is for his tough and studly son, Don Diego (Douglas Frey), to return from his studies in Spain and help the villagers fight back against their oppressors. Affecting an outrageously camp persona by day, Don Diego becomes the fearless Zorro at night, using his "long, quick rapier" to instill terror in the hearts of his enemies—and bed a procession of women, including Bonsario’s niece, Maria (Robyn Whittingham), whose budding relationship with Diego threatens to blow his cover.
Produced just at the tail end of the softcore drive-in market and directed by Col. Robert Freeman (Bare Knuckles), The Erotic Adventures of Zorro is a lavish period comedy that pushes its soft-X as far as it can go.
